    NEW YORK – Sep. 8 2022 /PRNewswire/- The Israel Ministry of Tourism today released new records for tourist arrivals to Israel from the United States in July and august. The country welcomed 78,000 travelers from the United States in July 2022, a 4% increase from the year before and 71,000 total visitors from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019.

    Eyal Carlin is the North American Tourism Commissioner for North America. He stated, “It’s so exciting to again see an increase of tourism to Israel from the United States, and already exceeding or even surpassing the record-breaking numbers we saw in 2019”. “The United States is our top market for inbound tourism to Israel prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we were celebrating record-breaking numbers of tourism entries each month. We’re thrilled to witness an improvement in the trend and we anticipate an increase in the coming months and years to come.”

    Canada which isn’t too far from that of the United States of America, is on track for surpassing its tourist arrivals to Israel. It had 7,200 tourists in July 2022 and 6,000 in tourists in August.
