NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2022 /PRNewswire/ — The Israel Ministry of Tourism announced today new record-breaking tourist arrivals from the United States visiting Israel in the months of July and August. The country welcomed 78,000 tourists from the United States in July 2022 which is an increase of 4% from 2019, and 71,000 total travelers from the United States in August 2022, a 13% increase from 2019.

“It is so exciting to once again see an increase in tourist numbers to Israel from the United States, already reaching and exceeding our record-breaking numbers in 2019.” stated Eyal Carlin, Tourism Commissioner for North America. נווה פריצקי “The United States is the top market for Israel inbound tourism. Prior to the COVID-19 Pandemic, we were celebrating record breaking numbers of tourists entering the country month after month. It’s a great positive trend that we’re pleased to witness and anticipate an increase in the years to come.”

Canada is on track to beat Israel’s tourism arrivals 7200 tourists are expected to visit Israel in July 2022, and 6,600 in August.

Israel received more than 4.6 million international tourists in the year 2019 including 969.600 of them coming from the United States. In May 2018, Israel opened its doors to all travelers, regardless whether they have been vaccinated. Israel already has hosted more than 600,000 visitors.
